History

The Terminal Building in Charleston, WV, is Washburn’s largest historic renovation project.

The Terminal Building was built in Charleston, WV, in 1910. The second skyscraper ever built in the state, it was completely renovated by Washburn in 2012. From recreating egg and dart plaster mouldings, installation of hardwood floors to restoration of the original safe, the building is a great example of how to completely modernize an old structure while maintaining the defining historical aesthetics of a building.

Today, the fully occupied building is one of the finest office spaces in the state, with spectacular views of the capital city and surrounding mountains and river.

  • “I can’t imagine a better group to manage our building operations.”

  • “They are always responsive to our calls.”
